Vegan Chianti unveiled in Tuscany

Rome - In a first for Italy, Fattoria Casabianca di Siena has revealed that their 2014 Chianti, has been certified as suitable for vegans. This recognition has followed a long process in which every part of production has been examined.

 In order for their Chianti to pass the vegan test, Fattoria Casabianca ensured a total absence of animal products throughout their organic vineyards however, also introduced a new form of packaging, changing  the glue for the bottle’s labels and the adhesive tape for the containers.

 Fattoria Casabianca’s 2014 vintage, comprises two white wines, a rosé and two reds, and every bottle of the 400,000 which are set to be sold will be vegan friendly. However the company has reassured its customers that this latest initiate won’t affect the price.
