Banking and Financial Inclusion and Innovation: On May 7 Turin will become an Oscar-caliber capital with Beppe Ghi

TURIN -- On Thursday, May 7, within the elegant and unifying setting of the Grand Hotel Principi di Piemonte, a day of equal distinction will be celebrated for the economic and financial world. Two separate and independent events, organized by different entities, will take place in succession on the same day and at the same conference venue. They will find a unifying element in the theme of banking inclusion and capital markets, as well as in the figure of Professor Beppe Ghisolfi—a pioneer and itinerant lecturer in financial education, member of the World Savings and Retail Banking Institute, Councillor of the CNEL (the constitutionally established National Council for Economy and Labour), and Director of Banca Finanza magazine, organizer of the Banking Oscars.
Within his body of bestselling literary works, Professor Beppe Ghisolfi has developed a highly effective synthesis between traditional and innovative finance, through the trait d’union of financial education and the integration of established banking channels with digital currency and crypto-asset instruments.
When approached with full awareness of their mechanisms and procedures, these tools enable a decentralized, traceable, and participatory economy, capable of contributing to the democratic and widespread financing of real and industrial productive systems in Italy and in partner countries across the Mediterranean and Adriatic regions.
Invitation to the 2026 “Banking Oscars” Award Ceremony
Hosted by Professor Beppe Ghisolfi, Director of Banca Finanza magazine
In the morning: the Banking Oscars honoring the key figures of the sector, serving as a bridge between local tradition and the global landscape.
The day will open at 10:30 a.m. with the “Banking Oscars” ceremony, a moment dedicated to recognizing the foremost traditions of excellence within the Italian credit sector.
The event, organized by Banca Finanza magazine and coordinated by banker and journalist Professor Beppe Ghisolfi, will feature the awarding of the leading representatives of the national banking sector:
· Antonio Patuelli, Chairman of the Associazione Bancaria Italiana (ABI)
· Marco Elio Rottigni, Director General of the Associazione Bancaria Italiana (ABI)
· Gian Maria Gros-Pietro, Chairman of Intesa Sanpaolo
· Camillo Venesio, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Banca del Piemonte
The awards are granted in recognition of leadership, macroeconomic stability, capacity for innovation, and contributions to circulating liquidity and investment financing in support of national development and regional economic districts.
Within the same context, Ivano Tonoli—together with the Italo-Albanian delegation he leads—will also be commended as the creator of the project known as Urano Ecosystem, which has facilitated the introduction of innovative and traceable models aimed at integrating the real economy with advanced financial instruments.
The Grand Hotel Principi di Piemonte, located at Via Gobetti 15, will serve on May 7 as the venue for strategic national and international events focused on financial and banking inclusion.
In the afternoon: the Urano model and the constellation of tokenized “real assets.”
At 3:00 p.m., a second, fully independent event will take place, dedicated to the presentation of a project based on the tokenization of real-world assets, whether industrial or real estate in nature.
The initiative originates within Urano Ecosystem, a company incorporated under Polish law and operating under a European license in the “real digital asset” sector. It leverages advanced digital infrastructures that ensure traceability, inclusion, and collateral protection by transforming assets across multiple sectors—such as infrastructure, real estate, and industrial holdings—into tokens.
This process is built on the Arbitrum blockchain, which serves as the ecosystem’s infrastructure partner, ensuring scalability and seamless integration with the most advanced digital markets.
The architecture is further strengthened by top-tier technological and strategic partnerships:
· A dedicated operator for onboarding processes and KYC/KYB verification
· thirdweb for wallet integration and Web3 infrastructure development
· Arbitrum as the blockchain infrastructure for transaction management and scalability
· Thompson & Stein for international legal and regulatory consultancy in Web3 and financial law
· Notarify for blockchain-based notarization and digital certification
· NEX for indexing solutions and on-chain data management for crypto assets and RWAs
· TriWei for smart contract auditing and infrastructure security
· MOODS Global Services for strategic consulting on digital infrastructures and ecosystems
· Gianluca Di Bella – Data Science & Econometrics Specialist, advisor on quantitative models and digital ecosystem development
· Yang Loh – DeFi Analyst and Portfolio Manager, specializing in crypto markets and digital assets
· Carlo Parisi – Co-founder of TriWei, expert in blockchain security and protocol development
· Artur Kuczmowski – Senior Partner at Thompson & Stein, expert in international compliance and tax structures
· Associazione Liberamente – Marco Cadeddu and Laura Comito, strategic marketing and access to EU structural funds
· Alessandro Zorgniotti, accredited press officer in both Piedmont and Albania on economic diplomacy, and direct collaborator of Professor Beppe Ghisolfi
The operating model oversees and safeguards the entire lifecycle of the asset:
· Advisory services
· Tokenization
· Fractionalization into digital shares
· Market access through digitalization
Assets are transformed into tradable digital units, linked to a token that enables traceability, accessibility, and integration with digital finance, maintaining a direct connection with the value of the real economy.
Within this framework, Urano AG acts as a Swiss investment holding company responsible for the issuance of shares—including in digital form (DLT shares)—and for capital raising activities, operating exclusively with its own capital and through institutional channels.
The legal component is supported by MME Legal, a Swiss law firm among the leading global advisors in the blockchain and digital asset sector, with experience on projects such as Ethereum, Solana, and Polkadot, as well as on infrastructures including Binance, Sygnum, SIX Digital Exchange, and Fireblocks.
With regard to the markets, the placement of shares of Urano AG will take place through private channels as well as on specialized infrastructures and international regulated markets.
Key reference points include, among public markets, SIX Digital Exchange and SIX Swiss Exchange in Switzerland, Deutsche Börse in Germany, Euronext at the European level, and the London Stock Exchange in the United Kingdom—potential gateways to institutional capital.
The placement may subsequently develop through dedicated private digital channels, including Taurus SA, Mt Pelerin Group, Sygnum, Tokeny Solutions, and ADDX, which enable digital financial management and access to qualified global investors.
The final outcome is a seamless harmonization between regulated markets and private channels within a single, efficient architecture, strengthening capital-raising capacity while ensuring high standards of subsidiarity and transparency between investors and the platform, and between traditional and digital finance.
The case of the industrial area of Lezha, in northern Albania, represents a new entry into the Urano ecosystem/constellation.
The industrial hub of Lezha, in northern Albania—a strategic crossroads between Italy, the Western Balkans, and South-Eastern Europe—represents one of the flagship tokenization initiatives outlined in the roadmap jointly developed by Urano Ecosystem and Urano AG.
The area, extending over approximately 220,000 square meters, is fully developable and is held by the shareholders of Urano Ecosystem, ensuring full ownership control and a unified strategic management approach. The project envisages a total investment estimated at €50 million for the development of an industrial and logistics hub dedicated to the establishment and expansion of companies operating at a European scale.
The integrated financing model combines:
· Financing from credit institutions within the European Union, for the infrastructure component
· Capital raising through Urano Ecosystem, via an RWA platform for asset tokenization
· Capital raising through Urano AG, through the issuance and placement of shares—including in digital form (DLT shares)—on accredited international financial markets and platforms
In this way, traditional banking capital and digital financial instruments are effectively integrated, as explained by Erminio Brambilla, CEO of Urano Ecosystem:
“ Our objective is to make the real economy truly accessible by transforming industrial and infrastructure assets into investable instruments through technology and transparency. With Urano Ecosystem and Urano AG, we are building a concrete bridge between traditional banking capital and digital finance, offering European SMEs direct access to continental and global markets, along with a genuine stabilizing ‘umbrella’ against geopolitical tensions.
This is not merely innovation, but a true paradigm shift—one that makes growth more open, traceable, and scalable, while preserving solidity and a long-term industrial vision. On May 7, therefore, Turin will host not simply the succession of two events, but a moment of synthesis between two financial models.”
Within this framework, banking and financial inclusion—according to the principles set out by Professor Beppe Ghisolfi—emerges as the most significant theme of the entire day. This is due both to its institutional relevance and to its concrete ability to synthesize the solidity of the established banking sector with the “first decisive steps” toward an informed, participatory, and democratic model of innovative finance, representing a systemic evolution of the concept of a public company.
The objective is to guide a transition free from disruption or shock, yet capable—through the contribution of leading expertise and excellence within the banking sector—of absorbing and neutralizing external shocks. In doing so, it aims to restore well-founded confidence in idle savings and facilitate their conversion into verifiable investments by an increasingly financially literate and broadened audience.
