Special screening at Italian Media Arts Festival open to public

ROME – The final event of the Italian Media Arts Festival 2025, the Special Screening, will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 22, as part of Rome Art Week and is open to the public. A jury of experts have selected nine works from over 80 proposals which represent “a global overview” of the relationship between humanity, the environment and technology.

The festival, founded and directed by journalist Marinellys Tremamunno with the support of Massimiliano Padovan di Benedetto, president of Rome Art Week (RAW), was created to freely and internationally promote video art and emerging technologies to encourage social and ethical reflection.

The theme of the 2025 festival is “technology for the common good: art for a just transition,” inviting both artists and the public to question the conscious use of technological innovations as tools for equity, inclusion, and sustainability.

A selection of videos from artists across the globe including Italy, Venezuela and Japan will be screened on Oct 22 at 5 p.m., offering the public a glimpse of the curatorial path for the 2025 edition of the festival.

The screening is taking place Wednesday Oct. 22 at 5 p.m., Palazzo Valentini, Sala Consiliare, Rome
