Gunshots fired in Molfetta street

 MOLFETTA – Gunfire echoed through the streets of Molfetta on Friday, according to videos circulating widely on social media.

  Carabinieri in the southern town of Molfetta in Apulia have opened an investigation after a series of online videos show two young men firing a gun in residential streets. In one video, the pair, clad in black, can be seen speeding through the streets on a scooter, as one of the men fires shots into the air in front of startled onlookers. 

  In another clip, the same men appear to confront a resident in an apartment block, shouting at him to come outside, before firing two rounds at the building. According to local reports, the weapon is believed to be a blank-firing gun. 

Although no injuries have been reported, the stunt has nevertheless caused outrage among residents, with carabinieri working to identify the two suspects.
