Pope Leo XIV encourages exorcists, whose role today is 'more important than ever'

ROME - Three hundred exorcists from all over the world met in Sacrofano between Monday and Saturday, in the province of Rome, for the 15th International Conference of the International Exorcist Association (AIE). And there, gathered at the 'fraternal Domus' spiritual house, they received the message from Pope Leo XIV, signed by the cardinal secretary of state Pietro Parolin.
It stated that he "expresses appreciation for the priests who dedicate themselves to the delicate and most necessary ministry of the exorcist, encouraging others to live it both as a liberation ministry from evil and as a ministry of consolation, accompanying the faithful who are truly possessed by the evil one with the prayer and the invocation of the effective presence of Christ, so that through the invocation of the exorcism the Lord grants the victory over Satan.”
The name of Leone, however, is particularly evocative in the context of exorcism, given that Leo XIII was known for having drawn up an exorcistic prayer against Satan and the rebel angels, part of the Roman ritual, which is a prayer for liberation and protection from demonic influence.
Although this prayer is reserved for authorized priests, it is possible to recite the shortest prayer to San Michele Arcangelo, always composed by Leo XIII, to ask for the help of the Archangel against the pitfalls of the Devil.
During the conference, which takes place every two years, the risks of artificial intelligence were also discussed.
In the closing report of the international conference -the AIE have revealed - the researcher Beatrice Ugolini, criminologist and Consultant for GRIS, illustrated the relationship between neo-occultism and Ai, highlighting how the so-called "artificial intelligence" present on the interet favors, for example, the birth of new magical-operational tools, the development of unpublished divination techniques thanks to the algorithms that allow the collection of personal data, and even new forms of necomancy and communication with the deceased.
Everything is part of what the rapporteur has called "magic of chaos," a new approach to occult practices unrelated to the traditional categories of magic and more open, thanks to modern technologies, creativity and individual experimentation."
