FuckUp Nights event returns to Venice hoping to change attitudes towards failure

VENICE – Failure has always been seen as a negative thing, limiting progress or achievments, however that isn't always the case. That is what FuckUp Nights seek to demonstrate as the event returns, hoping to show people that failure can in fact be a tool for success and development.
FuckUp Nights returns for its third edition in Venice after huge enthusiasm following the first two editions, with three prominent speakers present this time around: former professional cyclist and former coach of the Italian national team Davide Cassani, food blogger and television host Stella Menna, a former tennis player capable of reinventing herself after difficulties, and finally Alessandro Tommasi, manager and entrepreneur, founder of Will Media and The Future Proof Society, who will talk about the courage necessary to question paths already traced.
“FuckUp Nights is not a glossy motivational event, but a real conversation about what we usually hide: mistakes,” underlines Andrea Pilotto, CEO of Wow Solution, the marketing and communication agency that organises the event.
"We need places and moments to stop pretending that everything is always going well," adds Pilotto. “The public will discover that laughing at their mistakes, reflecting on what didn't work and sharing these experiences is the first step to building new possibilities.”
Born in 2012 in Mexico, the FuckUp Nights formula is simple: unlike TEDx events, it focuses on failure, with successful figures talking about their previous failures, hopefully helping those listening to change their attitude towards failure, and use it as a tool for personal and institutional growth and improvement.
