Fifteen people stranded on rollercoaster for an hour waiting for rescue teams

ROME - For about an hour, 15 people were left suspended 20 meters in the air on the “Altair” roller coaster ride in the Cinecittà amusement park, reports Il Fatto Quotidiano. Among them were also four children.
The ride stopped due to a technical malfunction that caused two of the coaster's cars to halt midway through the course. No injuries were reported.
The news was reported by the fire department, which around 2:40 p.m. Thursday sent the local Pomezia team to the amusement park, supported by a ladder truck and personnel from the SAF unit, which specialises in alpine, cave, and river rescues. Park technicians also intervened on site; no critical issues were discovered and all the people were safely returned to firm ground.
