Major collision involving a bus full of school pupils in Ferrara, one dead and at least seven injured

ROME - A bus and a car collided between Boara and Corlo, hamlets of Ferrara, killing the 36-year-old man driving the car and injuring seven people who were aboard the bus, which was full of students returning from school.
After the impact the bus collapsed on its side and ended up in a ditch, with some passengers suffering bruises and other injuries. They were then transported to the Sant'Anna hospital in Cona for assessment and treatment of their injuries
Among the injured was a 27-year-old pregnant woman, however, both the mother and child are not in a life-threatening condition confirmed the town’s mayor, Alan Fabbri. According to the first reconstruction of the incident, it would appear that the bus had skidded to avoid collision with the car. The collision took place in via Copparo, around 2:00 p.m., just before the roundabout on via Raffanello.
