19-year-old stabbed and killed ‘all for an electric scooter’ in Tortona

ROME - A 19-year-old boy was stabbed to death in the early afternoon around Tortona station, Piedmont, where a fight broke out over an electric scooter.

The victim was attacked by a man who wanted to steal the electric scooter, which the victim was riding.

A fight then broke-out which allegedly involved three people.

A 24-year-old Moroccan national was stopped but his role in the affair is still being investigated.

The victim was identified as Ange Jordan Tchombiap, a young Cameroonian migrant, who was only born in 2005.

According to a report from Radio Gold, he had arrived in Italy two months prior and was a resident of the reception centre, Isola Sant’Antonio, in the province of Alessandria, Piedmont.

“One of our workers reported the incident to us,” said Remo Grasso, director of the reception facility.

“Ange was walking near the station when he was attacked by someone trying to steal his scooter. He was stabbed in the chest and, shortly after, the hospital informed us of his death.”

“Unfortunately, everyone knows that Tortona station has been in a state of decay for quite some time,” Grasso finished.
