San Marino accredits new Algerian Ambassador

SAN MARINO — San Marino Captains Regents Francesca Civerchia and Dalibor Riccardi certified Mohamed Khelifi as Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Republic of San Marino during a ceremony held January 14 at San Marino's Palazzo Pubblico. 

 San Marino Minister of Foreign Affairs Luca Beccari was present for the ceremony. And on the sidelines of his visit Mr. Khelifi, who resides in Rome as Algerian Ambassador to Italy, held a series of meetings with the high authorities of the Republic of San Marino, with the aim of strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of economy, health, and culture: a dynamic giving substance to the memorandum of understanding signed by the two diplomacies, establishing a mechanism for regular political consultations between the two countries.

 Ambassador Mohamed Khelifi also wanted to remind his San Marino interlocutors that this promising and ambitious memorandum already commits the two countries to more consultation and concertation and places our joint action in the desire expressed by the highest authorities of the two states to raise political, economic and cultural relations between Algeria and the Republic of San Marino to a level of excellence that meets the interests of both peoples.
