Another exciting Matchweek in Serie A

ROME - Matchweek 7 was another exciting week in Serie A with 29 goals in the 10 matches, and only one nil-nil draw between Bologna and Parma.
Napoli remain top of the table on 16 points after winning 3-1 against mid-table team Como. The Neapolitans got off to the best of starts, with new signing from Manchester United, Scott McTominay scoring within the first minute. Como equalised just before the break, before Romelu Lukaku put Napoli ahead again in the 53rd minute with a penalty. David Neres scored Napoli’s last in the 86th minute. The Neapolitans hope to continue their good run of form in their next match against Empoli.
Elsewhere, Juventus were held to a draw by Cagliari – a disappointing result for the men from Turin, and in a shock result Fiorentina were victors over AC Milan. Udinese clinched victory over Venezia, as did Inter over Torino, and Lazio over Empoli.
The game of the week was played between Atalanta and Genoa. Italian Mateo Retegui was the player of the match, scoring a hat-trick, with Brazilian Ederson and Dutch Martn de Roon scoring the other two goals for the side. Genoa were only able to get one goal back, as the thrilling game ended 5-1.
As things stand, Napoli sit on top of Serie A with Inter only 2 points behind, and Juventus, Lazio, and Udinese only one point further behind that. Struggling at the bottom of the table are Venezia, Monza, and Genoa. But the season is still young, and it remains all to play for in Italy’s top division.
