Marcello Nitti's art photography is back to Martina Franca
MARTINA FRANCA -- This summer the Apulian town of Martina Franca in Valle d'Itria, rich in cultural initiatives such as its famous Festival, is hosting the long-awaited photographic exhibition by Marcello Nitti, who, continuing his expressive investigation, exhibits a series of photographs entitled "Impressionism love”.
The Apulian author explains how this new effort of his is "the fruit of research aimed at investigating the romantic photographic possibilities of returning images that can help the dream. The photographs of "Impressionism love" are the result of research, experimentation and affirmation of love in the photographic field. The photographs are made on film and without digital aids with Hasselblad 500 C/M and the photos are shot with Kodak color and B/W films". All visible during this summer in Martina Franca in Vico IV Agesilao Milan 7.
At the inauguration, with the author present, a quick critical introduction was given by the artistic curator Pio Meledandri and this year too, some poems by Barbara Gortan are on display along with the photos.
For Meledandri “Martina Franca's exhibition, which the Author titled “Impressionism love”, is an internal journey in search of Art. A declaration of love towards impressionism which makes him prefer subjects from the natural world and look at the "luminous moment" capable of modifying the physiognomies of objects, creating new shapes and colours. Sensitivity and above all creativity led him to a fantastic game of pareidolia, just as children we recognised in the clouds shapes similar to men and animals, dragons, princesses and castles… All the images support the romantic sentiment of the Author whose narration is fantasy, dream, mystery, emotion and passion, all elements with which Romanticism contrasted itself with the Enlightenment culture, determining its physiognomy in the visual arts, in music, literature and philosophical thought."
Nitti himself, at the vernissage, thanked the public who have been following his original photographic journey for years "for the support you have given me in previous exhibitions and I thank you for the enthusiasm you give me to continue creating new images in the magical and dreamy world called 'Photography'".
