Catwalk comes to Cinecittà Studios

Catwalk

ROME - Fashion-fanatics will be able to enjoy a runway show at the Cinecittà Studios, from next Thursday to Feb. 20, thanks to Altaroma.

The next season’s styles will be showcased through 12 videos which will celebrate around 90 up-and-coming brands. The outfits will display Italian craftsmanship, with the aim to appeal to buyers from the four corners of the world, whilst simultaneously promoting young people. This digital catwalk originates from the platform that was launched back in September 2020.

The scenography that has inspired previous generations will be the background of this Fashion Week. There seems no better place to display Altaroma than in this hub of Italian cinema. Indeed, Rome's Cinecittà Studios is also the largest film studio in Europe.

Adriano Franchi, the director of the show has said that “nothing fills us with more pride than the fact that we were able to present. Guaranteeing a complete edition, albeit in digital form, is extremely important for us and for our brands.”

The decision to broadcast this fashion show at the Studio is an innovative way to allow authorised personnel, and those who want to, to attend a runway show. The processions will be live and open to the general public, while those who are taking part in the show itself will be able to access a corned-off zone, allowing Covid regulations to be upheld. The fashion show has already been postponed by approximately a month due to the ongoing pandemic.

By reinstating their partnership with the Luce-Cinecittà Institute, Altaroma promises its most noteworthy and scenic display yet. The show can be watched on the online platform:  https://digitalrunway.altaroma.it/it/
