Vatican vaccinates the homeless

  ROME - The press office of the Holy See on Wednesday announced that the ongoing vaccination programme within the Vatican has now included a group of around 25 homeless people. The group, permanently housed by the care facilities of the Office of Papal Charities, received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on Wednesday. The Vatican have said that further groups are to follow in the coming days.

  The Vatican vaccination programme began on Jan. 13 with the vaccination of Pope Francis and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, and aims to cover all citizens of Vatican City and all those eligible for the Vatican health care service.
