Pilgrims attend papal audiences again

VATICAN CITY – Pope Francis will once more hold general audiences for pilgrims, no longer in St. Peter's square, under Covid social distancing rules, reports Il Messaggero.

Each Wednesday from Sep. 2, pilgrims, parochial groups and newlyweds will have the opportunity to listen to Francis directly in the San Damaso Courtyard of the Apostolic Palace. Mask wearing will be obligatory for those in attendance although the pontiff will continue to reject using one. The number of available spaces to listen to Francis will of course be limited to a few hundred.

Tickets will not be necessary, unlike before the pandemic, and entry will begin at 7:30 from the Portone di Bronzo.
