Italy-Egypt agreement to strengthen trade relations

ROME – Confindustria, the Italian employers’ federation and FEI, the federation of Egyptian industries Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding to “strengthen trade relations and promote economic cooperation between the two countries,” a statement released by Confindustria read.

 Confindustria President Vincenzo Boccia and FEI Vice President Tarek Tawfik signed the agreement aimed at strengthening the synergy between Italian and Egyptian companies and encouraging industrial partnerships also in third countries.

 Key points in the agreement include renewed collaboration on several events being held next year in Italy, such as the participation of a delegation of Egyptian companies in Connext 2020, the Seminar on Investment Opportunities in the Suez Canal and the promotion of partnerships in the training sector between companies and universities in the Mediterranean, thanks to the European programs in which Businessmed (Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises) participates.
