ROME – Pensioner Gianni Paliotta has killed his two children and then taken his own life in the region of Esperia, in the province of Frosinone, police said on Tuesday.

 The 70-year-old ex-railwayman shot his son Mariano who was 26 years old and his daughter Isabella who was 18 years old around 7.a.m on Tuesday morning while his wife was out of the house.

 The wife discovered the tragedy when she returned to their family home in the historic centre in piazza Consalvo. According to initial investigations carried out by policemen in Compagnia di Pontecorvo there was no disagreement in the family.
