UN Agency updates advice to countries hit by increases
ROME – Because of rising prices of food, FAO has recently called upon countries to examine carefully their policies and not to take any actions that might appear useful, but instead could have harmful, long-term effects that could aggravate the situation. The agency this week published an updated guide for policy-makers in developing countries to assist them in addressing the negative impacts of high food prices and to tap into their opportunities.
