Dear valued reader, The Italian insider Chief Editor John Phillips will appear in the Rome Tribunal on Jan. 14, 2019. on charges of 'tarnishing the image' of the Rome-based UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and four of its executives through a press campaign of articles exposing nepotism and corruption at the UN agency. We face legal and legal translation costs of thousands of euros that threaten to drive the newspaper out of business.  

 We are appealing to readers and friends to become Bronze, Silver or Gold Supporters of the paper for 80, 125, or 175 euros, (on the model of for instance the sostenitori sociali who support Italian newspapers such as il Fatto Quotidiano),  to enable us to stay in business and cover issues such as corruption at the UN agencies, the lettori scandal and other stories that no other publication covers.
