Irish artist-activist to celebrate 25 years in industry

DUBLIN -- Michelle Rogers, a human right and environmental artist and activist based in the Eternal City, was celebrating her landmark 25th year in the art industry at her mid-career retrospective, entitled "Tread Softly."

Rogers grew up in Ireland during the height of civil unrest there, and has long since been concerned with social and humanitarian issues. Her paintings range in subject from terrorism, to migration and environmental problems.

The exhibition, organised by The Paul Kane Gallery and The Office of Public Works, will take place on June 15 at Rathfarnham Castle in Dublin.
