VATICAN CITY-- Pope Francis cracked a joke with U.S. First Lady, Melania Trump, asking her what she feeds the fussy all-American President her native Slovenian delicacies. 

 "What do you give him to eat, potizza?" he asked Melania, which warranted an elusive smile from the straight-faced First Lady.

 Potizza is a Slovenian dessert made with flour, butter, eggs and milk, which the pontiff is well-acquainted with since his grandniece married an Argentine with Slovenian roots. 

 The joke very nearly went down like a lead balloon as the Vatican TV thought the pope said 'pizza', rather than 'potizza,' causing some initial confusion.
