Italian MPs bemoan London commemoration
ROME- The Italian Chamber of Deputites Speaker, Laura Boldrini, was heckled by Italian MPs when she called for a commemoration of victims of the terror attack in London.
The commemoration was to take place before the last vote of the day but was not popular amongst the MPs, clearly in a hurry to depart from the Chamber.
The MPs interrupted Boldrini before the speaker had a chance to explain that the commemoration would be in the name of the victims of Wednesday’s attacks.
As those present begin to show their discontent, Borleni fiercely states, “I demand respect!”
Upon realising the reason for the commemoration, the groans turned to applause and the incident was eventually marked by a moment of silence.
