ANCONA -- A doctor who allegedly regularly sexually and psychologically abused a young girl he brought over from Africa has been indicted on charges of sado-masochistic behaviour, juicial sources said Wednesday.

 The tale began as one of romance and love. An African student in search of new beginnings was brought to Italy by a doctor from Ancona, not immeditaley identified, who enrolled the young hopeful at the University of Perugia, providing her also with a residence permit. 

  However, the story soon turned sour. The victim described in a statement that, in return for his ‘generosity’, the doctor would repeatedly force her to meet with him in an apartment, naked, where he would tie her down, push a ball into her mouth and turn up the television volume to quash her screams, and then brutally sexually abuse her. She would allegedly be left with various bruises indicating blows and whip slashes to the neck.

 The girl claimed that the nightmare would continue on regular occasions until 2014 when she decided to press charges against her captor. The indictment was accepted Wednesday by prosecutor Cristina Polenzani. The court process shall commence Feb. 21 2017.
