Kiss a Brit to make them stay

ROME -- The world’s longest kissing chain was carried out in a bid to try to encourage the United Kingdom to remain part of the European Union, starting at the Colosseum in Rome and passing through other main European cities such as Berlin, Paris, and London via iPad.

This event was reportedly organised “to symbolise the love between Britain and Europe” according to ‘The Quint’ and to remove hate campaigning ahead of the referendum which will be held on Thursday.

It was also reportedly to show solidarity after the murder of pro-Europe, pro-immigration Labour MP Jo Cox, which was allegedly carried out by a neo-Nazi supporter in favour of ‘Brexit’.

Taking place on Sunday, there were reportedly just under 500 people in front of the houses of Parliament in London, whilst many more Europeans turned out across their capital cities to make this the longest kissing chain.  “A vote for Remain is a vote for love, tolerance and unity in our diversity," commented Alice Jay, Avaaz campaign director in a statement.
