ROME - "In response to the invitation of the Chief Rabbi of the Jewish Community in Rome, Francis is going to visit the Great Synagogue in the afternoon on Sunday Jan.17 . After John Paul II and Benedict XVI, this will be the third visit of a pope at the Synagogue of Rome." 

 "The pontiff will meet with representatives of Judaism and the members of the Jewish Community. More detailed program of the visit will be announced in due course" the Jewish Community of Rome Press Office said.
