Meridiana & Moët bring lap of luxury to short-haul flight

ROME- Flight carrier Meridiana and champagne producer Moët & Chandon have teamed up to provide an exclusive, high-quality service for passengers: from July 24 to September 18, the Rome Fiumicino-Olbia flight at 6:00 p.m. every Friday will be served by a Boeing 767 with 12 seats in Electa class.

To celebrate this special collaboration, the business class will be completely redesigned by Moet & Chandon with custom pillows and headrests. Passengers will also be offered an exclusive clutch bag with an eye mask and spa water. Meridiana travellers who are Fly Pass Gold members travelling in Electa class can also enjoy a mini bottle of the iconic Moet & Chandon Impérial champagne: a service that has been regarded as unparalleled in aviation, which also takes passengers to the Italian island of Sardinia in just 40 minutes.

Andrea Andorno, Chief Commercial Officer of Meridiana said: “For over 50 years we connect the Costa Smeralda to Italy and Europe and this year we wanted to offer our customers departing from Rome, who have always chosen Sardinia for their vacation, a truly unique travel experience. A business class on a Boeing 767 for a short-haul flight? Almost unthinkable given the short flight time, but that was possible to achieve thanks to the cooperation with an extraordinary and exclusive brand such as Moët & Chandon”.
