InSé foundation hosts Noa concert

ROME- The Israeli singer Noa gave a concert, sponsored by PastaZara alongside other Italian companies on Tuesday to raise money for the InSé foundation’s children’s home in Kinshasa.

Foundation president Iole Sacchi Cisnetto was visibly overwhelmed as she thanked the audience at Rome's Brancaccio Theatre, praising the work of the home, Kimbondo, which provides shelter and an education to almost 1000, mostly orphaned, children.

Noa, meanwhile, received a standing ovation for her performance of well known hits such as “Beautiful That Way,” a stunning cover of The Bangles’ “Eternal Flame,” and a collection of songs from her new album, “Love Medicine.”

Reading in Italian from some notes, Noa declared that she had felt a connection with the charity immediately, and praised the foundation’s commitment to not only providing for these children today, but by focusing on education, ensuring their future tomorrow.

Noa also drew attention to the ongoing troubles in Israel and Palestine, citing the many groups in the region working constantly towards peace and criticising the media’s reluctance to show this positive attitude, instead focusing on hatred.

A host of Italian companies lent their support to the evening, including the country’s second largest pasta producer, PastaZara. In a press conference prior to the concert, company chairman Furio Bragagnolo described his ethos of food as a unifying factor, in the tradition of the Italian family. His products are exported to 106 countries, and have even been traded across the Palestine-Israeli border.

The evening was a resounding success which combined an extremely noble cause with two of the great Italian passions, music and food.
