Thief shot dead by Naples police

 NAPLES – Thief Antonio Mannalà was shot dead by a Naples police officer after stealing an automobile on Wednesday, police said.

 Mannalà who was armed at the time of the robbery, stole a Renault Clio from a young couple in Naples. He threated to shoot them if they didn’t get out of the car.

 During the chase, the policeman ordered Mannalà to get on the ground. Police said the bullet that hit Mannalà in the back, was fired by the policeman accidentally.
