WIN British food for a traditional Christmas splurge!!

ROME - A supermarket in the UK is offering expatriates the opportunity to enjoy a traditional British Christmas from wherever they are, while also donating to a great cause.

The British Corner Shop is an online supermarket which makes thousands of traditional British products available to expatriates by delivering orders worldwide. The store offers many products which are not available in other countries and this year will allow British citizens living abroad to "enjoy a traditional British Christmas no matter where they live."

Some of the most desired products by expatriates for this Christmas are Walkers Mincemeat Pies, Nestle Quality Street Tub, and Matthew Walker Christmas Pudding, according to a company survey.

The British Corner Shop is currently running a contest and will give 20 lucky winners gift certificates in the amount of £25. Entering into the contest will also support a good cause, as the company will donate 5p to the Red Cross Typhoon Haiyan Appeal for every entry submitted.

“We decided to do a big Christmas competition this year to encourage those who’ve not heard of us before to give our service a go. We also wanted to donate something to the Typhoon appeal, so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to do it,” said Mark Callaghan, managing director of the British Corner Shop.

Those interested in the competition can enter by visiting the British Corner Shop homepage and finding the answer to the following question: How many products did BCS deliver worldwide last year?

Answers can then be emailed to xmascompetition@britishcornershop.co.uk until 9:00 am GMT on December 20.
