PETILIA POLICASTRO – Three people have been arrested and another three placed under house arrest in the Crotonese area for involvement in ‘Ndrangheta gang operations, judicial officials said. 

 The gang members were arrested by the carabinieri in the execution of an investigation at the request of the Catanzaro Prosecutor's Office and have been accused of mafia-type criminal association, extortion, arson and money laundering. 

 The investigation, conducted by the carabinieri under the direction of the Catanzaro Prosecutor’s Office, lasted a long time and was undertaken through traditional activities and wiretapping. 

 According to reports, the results of the investigation made it possible to indicate the current operations of the local ‘Ndrangheta gang and to detect the criminal interests of the gang within the Calabrian region.
