Berlusconi sexist comment freezes the right and infuriates the left

MONZA- Sparking another controversy between the right majority and the opposition, is Silvio Berlusconi: “Senator of the Republic and party leader” recalls Chiara Appendino MP of the five-star movements, who commented the “miserable and dangerous concepts” behind words of the senator.

Last Tuesday, Berlusconi, according to some, “slipped,” during the Christmas celebration of his team, Monza Berlusconi, into what he later defined as “just a locker room joke.” He started his speech by congratulating the new coach, Raffaele Palladino, who last September substituted with great results Giovanni Stroppa. But the politically correct speech quickly escalated to more vulgar talk after the speech, with Berlusconi saying, “I put in a hint of more motivational charge …Now that Juventus, Milan, and others are arriving, if you’ll win against one of these big ones, I’ll get you a bus full of hookers in the locker room.”

In contrast to the right majority, the left's comments didn’t take long to attack Berlusconi. Appennino publicly called out Giorgia Meloni, “We now know Berlusconi, some of you might say, there is nothing new about his behavior, except that he and his party are part of the majority… Do we want to stay silent and let get this message get through to our daughters, Giorgia?” Appennino also raised the question to Meloni, “Is it acceptable that women are considered sexual objects, prizes to give away as if they were goods bought at a market?”

Laura Boldrini, former president of the chamber of deputies added “vulgar sexism used as a joke…I remind you that Meloni, Salvini, and Tajani wanted Berlusconi as President of the Republic".

Berlusconi responded to the criticism and lightly justified his words on Twitter stating his critics “lack a sense of humor”.
