Two shot dead in Naples suspected Camorra ambush

NAPLES – Two young men were discovered shot dead in a park on Monday, likely victims of the Camorra mafia, said police.

The bodies of the two men, whose identities are not yet known but appear to have been only in their twenties, were discovered Monday morning. They were found in a car in the private park ‘Parco dei Colombi,’ in the Naples suburb of Miano. Police and ambulance were called to the scene but it was too late to save their lives.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. Police suspect the crime was an ambush by the Camorra, as the area in which the double murder took place is known its rivalries between various clans.
