Mediterranean culture and its future to be presented in Naples

 NAPLES – The collaborative essay titled ‘Mediterranean Workshop’ - an interdisciplinary exploration of the area’s culture and its future - will be presented for the first time in public on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in via Bisignano 11, the headquarters of the Guida Editori publishing house. The presentation will be delivered by the work’s Neopolitan authors and the event's curators - Corriere della Sera writers Nicola Saldutti and Patrizia Varone.

 The essay relays the experiences of six author-photographers - Mimmo Iodice, Vasco Ascolini, Tami Notsani, Natalia Saurin, Pio Tarantini and Raffaela Mariniello - talking to  environmental experts, marine biologists, critics, architects and writers who share their research and thoughts about the region. The work acts as a starting point to invite reflection and encourage conversation.

 The contributors include Antonella Del Giudice, writer, Marco Perillo, writer and journalist, Monica Mazzolini, art historian, Marco Molino, writer and journalist, Ugo Leone, expert in environmental policy, Bruna Mancini , professor of English literature, Vittorio Raschetti, art critic, Maria Cristina Gambi, biologist and marine ecologist, Antonella Violano, professor of architecture technology.

 Nicola Saldutti, born in Naples, is Head of the Economics desk at Corriere della Sera, while

Patrizia Varone writes for the same paper’s weekly La Lettura.
