ROME - Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi met with the parents of Giulio Regeni at Palazzo Chigi as he expressed his commitment to "hold further meetings" to fight for truth and justice for Regeni.

  Also present at the meeting with Claudio Regeni and Paola Deffendi was their lawyer Alessandra Ballerini.

  Giulio Regeni was a student at the University of Cambridge when he was tortured and killed in Egypt in 2016, where he had been conducting research into the country's independent trade unions.
