Pope greets Vatican homeless getting vaccine

VATICAN CITY - On the morning of Easter Saturday, Pope Francis paid a visit to the Paul VI Audience Hall where Covid vaccinations were underway for the homeless or those needing special assistance. They were accompanied by volunteers from charitable associations of Rome.

Pope Francis spoke with them as they awaited their vaccination, and greeted the doctors and nurses, while observing the preparation of the vaccine doses.

So far, about 800 of the roughly 1,200 persons in need being getting the vaccine this week have been vaccinated with the first dose.
