 ROME -- The Italian captial’s Casa di Goethe museum hosts an exhibition of a collection of over 40 works of art depicting the Non-Catholic Cemetery of Rome over the years on the 300th anniversary of the burial ground, entitled, “At the Foot of the Pyramid: 300 years of the cemetery for foreigners in Rome.”

 The English poet Shelley described the Non-Catholic Cemetery of Rome in a few succinct words: “the most beautiful and solemn cemetery I have ever beheld”, and throughout the centuries visitors have continued to agree with him.

 ROME -- The Foreign Affairs Committee of the Finnish Parliament (Eduskunta) has recently paid a productive visit to Rome to attend meetings with the Italian authorities, government sources said Wednesday.

The committee’s meetings, held with representatives of the Italian authorities, have focused on topics such as foreign and security policy, the economy and immigration issue; while, with specialized UN agencies in Rome, it has dealt with issues concerning development policy.

 In this Caribbean coastal city, such an important landmark in Colombia’s turbulent history, the Holy See’s Secretary of State, Pietro Parolin, gave a speech on behalf of the pontiff who himself wanted to express his great love and admiration for this Latin-American country.

 ROME -- The heads of the Rome-based food and agriculture agencies thanked United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon for his personal commitment and leadership in challenging the world to reach Zero Hunger, promising to maintain momentum to reach the ambitious target by 2030.

 The Zero Hunger Challenge was launched in 2012 by Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon who handed the Zero Hunger initiative on to the three agencies Sept. 22 at an event in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
