NAPLES - The newest edition of the much-loved board game Monopoly has been unveiled, and it features the coastal city of Naples. Hasbro, the makers of the game, has announced its decision to produce “personalised” Monopoly board editions based on major cities around Europe.

ROME - For another year running, the Christmas market held in Piazza Navona will be dominated by the controversial Tredicine family and its labour force of low-paid Bangladeshi workers, city officials say. Despite the chairman of the Capitoline Trade Commission, Andrea Coia, announcing in September that the market will award “quality, sustainability, and artisanship,” the Tredicine family have won licenses for 16 out of 51 available market stalls.

ROME- ROS caraninieri have made 27 arrests in an anti-mafia raid in Siciliy. The raid, carried out against the Mafia clan of Santa Maria di Gesù, came after a lengthy under cover investigation of the criminal gang’s dealings.

 The decision to embark on this mass incarceration on Tuesday came after the heads of the family could be identified. The leaders of the clan would choose who to make made men, “men of honour,” after numerous meetings in a Guadagna shaving room where five would have to choose the boss.

 ROME -- The FAO Director General, José Graziano da Silva, reportedly has applied for Italian citizenship but the Italian authorities evidently are dragging their feet over the request, perhaps because the Italian foreign ministry wants an Italian to take over running the embattled UN agency when the Brazilian kingpin stands down in 2019, FAO sources say.

ROME - Milan has missed out on its chance to host the European Medical Agency (EMA), which would have led to increased economic prosperity and prestige in the region, as Amsterdam is chosen instead. The two regions were tied in an official vote by the heads of state of EU governments and the name of the canal city was picked randomly out of a hat to settle the dispute.
